The Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago joyfully announces the upcoming National Convention 2025, to be held on Saturday, 25th October 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya.
After several years apart, we are delighted to gather in person once again—renewed in spirit and grateful for the opportunity to meet face to face as one family of faith.
Many will remember our last National Convention in 2018, a memorable occasion when unexpected flooding along the highway led many attendees to spend the night in the convention hall. That experience became a symbol of our resilience and unity as a Church—together through every storm, both literal and spiritual.
This year’s theme, “Persevere in Your Witness: Overcoming the Challenges Encountered”, draws inspiration from Hebrews 12:1 and calls us to steadfast faith, courage, and endurance in a changing world. Together, we will reflect on how God’s grace continues to empower us to remain faithful in our witness through every challenge.
The Convention will be a sacred time of:
Join us as we celebrate one body, one faith, one Church—grateful for the strength of our Presbyterian community and the faithfulness of God through every trial.
Expect joyful worship, inspiring messages, and uplifting moments of connection.
We invite all congregations, ministry teams, and members to attend and share in this time of spiritual renewal.
Special exhibits will be hosted by:
Come—let us persevere in faith and witness together!
Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet you on this blessed day, in the Sacred, Powerful and Eternal Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It is truly a wonderful opportunity which has been given to us, to join together in Worship and Praise to God. Indeed, our celebration as a Church in the world today will not remove the challenges which we experience as individuals, families, congregations, pastoral regions or even as a Church. However, today allows us the opportunity to rejoice in the presence of our God as we ponder upon the bountiful blessings and spiritual gifts which we have received from the hands of a loving and merciful Father.
As we meet today for our National Convention, we will be exploring the theme: ‘Persevere in Your Witness: Overcoming the Challenges!’ Every believer in Christ, can bear testimony of the countless challenges which they have encountered, on their journey of faith. God’s Word is a constant and consistent reminder to us, that the pursuit of a Godly life comes at great cost. Our theme acknowledges the task or mission to which we have all been called. We are called to bear witness of Christ - His life, ministry, suffering, death and Resurrection.
Having to Persevere in our ,witness means that in the midst of the challenges, temptations and the distractions which will attempt to lead us away from the straight and narrow path, we are being guided to be steadfast, to endure trials and to continue to be faithful in spite of the difficulties we experience. Most of us view the Christian life to be one where we are given what we want whenever we are in need of it. But if we are called to follow Christ in our daily living, then trials and stumbling blocks will be encountered along the path. Friends, as Galatians 6:9 tells us, “Let us never grow weary in doing good for God strengthens us for the journey ahead.” I close with the words of the Bible text, James 1:12 ‘Blessed are those, who remain steadfast under trial, for when they have stood the test they will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.’
Blessings to All as we move forward into tomorrow, persevering in our witness, as we overcome the challenges which we encounter in our journey of faith.
The Rt Reverend Daniel Chance
Moderator of the Synod of the PCTT
