The PCTT emphasizes the importance of active democratic participation and urges every eligible voter to thoughtfully select a government committed to:
- Sustainable Economic Growth– Policies that ensure long-term prosperity for all citizens.
- People-Centric Governance– Leadership that prioritizes the welfare and dignity of every individual with the hallmark of equity and inclusivity.
- A Secure and Stable Society– Measures to safeguard communities and uphold the rule of law from internal and external threats.
- Enhanced Infrastructure, Healthcare, and Education– Investments in critical sectors for national development.
- Progress Toward First-World Status – Visionary leadership to advance Trinidad and Tobago on the global stage.
In alignment with its Christian values, the PCTT appeals for:
- Respect for the Electoral Process– Acceptance of the people’s verdict with maturity and patriotism.
- Cooperation with Authorities– Compliance with electoral officials and security personnel to ensure order.
- A Peaceful and Crime-Free Election Day– A collective commitment to uphold the nation’s democratic traditions.
- The Church reinforces this message with the scriptural exhortation: “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities for there is no authority except from God”(Romans 13:1).
The PCTT prays for divine wisdom to guide voters and leaders alike, fostering a peaceful General Election and a prosperous future for Trinidad and Tobago.
Let us vote responsibly, act peacefully, and work together toward a brighter future.
