The Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago (PCTT) is elated that the Presbyterian Secondary Schools have performed exceedingly well at this year’s CAPE examinations. Presbyterian schools have been able to secure 41 out of the 100 scholarships (45 Open and 55 Additional) for 2023 –

  1. Hillview College – 13 (7 Open; 6 Additional)
  2. St. Augustine Girls’ High School – 10 (4 Open; 6 Additional)
  3. Naparima College – 9 (5 Open; 4 Additional)
  4. Naparima Girls’ High School – 9(6 Open; 3 Additional)

In a media release the Ministry of Education has stated that Hillview College has copped the two President’s Awards reserved for the outstanding students nationwide –

  • Ryker Harricharan is the top performing student in Environmental Studies, Information and Communication Technology, Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
  • Nishka Maharaj is the top performing student in Business Studies, Creative and Performing Studies, General Studies, Language Studies, Modern Studies/Humanities and Technical Studies.

The Presbyterian Church commends the Presbyterian Secondary Schools’ Board of Education and especially the work of the principals, teachers, students and the many parents who make tremendous sacrifices towards the education of their children.

It must be emphasized that the symbiotic relationship between Church and School is the most important element in the continuous excellence in educational performance year after year. This can never be overlooked as this is the basis of the success of the Presbyterian schools.

Congratulations and best wishes to all the scholarship winners nationwide and may God’s blessingbe upon you all.

To God be the glory.
